Following the fate of journalists, the killing of lawyers is becoming common practice in our country. The most recent example is that of the blast in Quetta, which saw the death of more than 60 lawyers; an entire generation of lawyers killed in one city. The attack was carried out as more than 200 lawyers were gathered at a hospital to mourn the death of another lawyer who was killed earlier - which reflects the careful planning of the attack.

Since 2010, extremism against lawyers has been increasing, and it is estimated to have taken the lives of at least 70 lawyers prior to the Quetta attack. Journalists and Lawyers are being targeted because they are individuals who can bring a positive change in the society, and unfortunately, the state is not protecting them. I would like to request the concerned authorities to provide security to the lawyers and ensure their safety.
