In this era of development and success where countries are focusing on health and education, Pakistan is an unfortunate exception. Despite an announcement from the new Chief Minister of Sindh, “We will work on health on an emergency basis”, the evidence suggests otherwise. The doctors, specialists, and physicians who were employed in Civil Hospital Dadu were quickly transferred to the Chief Minister’s hometown. Dadu was already experiencing a shortage of medical professionals and this action made the situation even worse. Many patients are suffering because of non-treatment or a delay in treatment. My appeal to the Government of Sindh is to solve this issue as quickly as possible.
