22,950 tickets for violating road rules

LAHORE The City Traffic Police claimed to have taken a strict legal action against 18523 drivers having expired licenses, 843 teenagers and 22950 violators of traffic rules. According to an official claim, the traffic police had earlier imparted necessary education among the commuters especially the motorists about traffic licenses. The Education Units of the Traffic Police delivered lectures on different topics in various schools, colleges and universities, the communiqus further reads. The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin has directed the traffic wardens to discharge their duties in three shifts. He strictly advised them to ensure no rickshaw; donkey carts and other slow moving vehicles should be permitted from Ichra Bridge to Model Town Morr. The CTO further urged the citizens to extend their cooperation so that the motorists should be facilitated as more as possible.
