ISLAMABAD - Acting Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Dr Abdul Jabbar, has said that Pemra has neither any role in blocking transmission of a private TV channel nor it has the technology to block satellite channel. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said that Pemra had not blocked any private channel, adding channels should have rights to air transmission from different stations. He said that allegations of a private TV channel in that regard were baseless. He further said if Pemra had blocked any channel, its logo would not be visible on TV screens. He added that Pemra had no malicious intentions against any channel and it always abided by laws.
