LAHORE Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad on Thursday issued non-bailable warrants for arrest of the Samanabad deputy superintendent of police as his subordinate SHO did not comply with the court orders. Earlier, the court issued arrest warrants against the DSP following a petition filed by one Khalid who had contacted the SHO to get his statement recorded but the SHO gave deaf ear to the matter and did not entertain the petitioner. The court had summoned the SHO repeatedly through his boss DSP but both the officials remained unheard of the court orders. Finally, the court issued the arrest warrants and directed the Superintendent of Police concerned to arrest the DSP and produce him before the court today. challan: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday directed police officials concerned to submit challan against six accused of the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team and adjourned the hearing till April 14. The arrests were made following a tip-off from two already arrested suspects Zubair alias Naik Muhammad and Abdul Wahab. Earlier, the court gave Ubaidullah and Amanullah to police on ten-day physical remand. The court had also handed over other four accused - Mohsin Rasheed, Javed Anwar, Qari Muhammad Ishfaq and Ubaidur Rehman - to the police for identification parade. The CIA police had arrested the accused for their allegedly involvement in attack wherein six Sri Lankan players including Captain Mahela Jayawaredene, his deputy Kumar Sangakkara, Ajantha Mendis, Thilan Samaraweera, Tharanga Paranavitana and Chaminda Vaas had sustained injuries. Furthermore, six escorting policemen were also killed in the attack.
