Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar received the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Air Chief Marshall Jayalath Weerakkody on Friday. Minister of State and the High Commissioner discussed matters of mutual interest to both counties. They agreed that President Zardaris recent visit to Sri Lanka has laid the solid basis for further strengthening bilateral relations, especially through mutually beneficial economic relations. They agreed on the holding of Foreign Secretaries level Consultations and 10th Session of Joint Economic Commission. The Minister of State expressed her satisfaction at the level of cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan greatly values its relations with Sri Lanka which are based on mutual trust and shared interests for maintaining regional peace, security and stability.
