LAHORE The Federal Investigation Agency on Thursday claimed to have arrested an XEN and two Customs inspectors while taking bribe in three different raids. The first raid was conducted in Kot Lakhpat where XEN Liaqat Ali was arrested by the raiding team when he was taking illegal gratification of Rs 100,000 from a citizen. The team recovered the said money from the accused and arrested him in presence of a magistrate. However, the purpose of getting bribe was reported to issue industrial connection and reduce the electricity bill of the consumer. The team headed by FIA Corporate Crime Circle Assistant Director Jamil Ahmad Khan, comprised Inspector Anwar and Sub Inspector Ghulam Murtaza. Separately, another FIA team arrested the Customs officers in Multan, said FIA spokesman. During the first raid, Custom Inspector Farooq was taking Rs 100,000 as bribe while in other raid Customs inspector Sheikh Arshad was receiving Rs 30,000 from a citizen as graft.
