KARACHI - Four workers of PPP including an activist of PSF were laid to rest in their respective areas here on Saturday.

According to police, the funeral prayers of three PPP activists namely Farhan alias Gudo, Anees Siddiqui alias Munna Behari and Umer Hayat, were offered in different parts of Orangi Town including Urdu Chowk area and sector 10 and 11. They were targeted in the limits of Mominabad police station on Friday.

The funeral prayer was attended by the PPP leaders including MNA Abdul Qadir Patel and others. The deceased were buried at a local graveyard. DSP Tariq Malik said the case was not registered yet as the PPP committee was presently discussing the issue and later they would register a case.

Meanwhile, a PSF activist namely Syed Hussain, son of Aziz Khan, who was killed at Scout colony, Gulshan Iqbal, was laid to rest in Super Highway graveyard. His funeral prayers were offered at Ali Town, Sohrab Goth where PSF leaders Zulfiqar Kaimkhani, Faisal Fateh, Bashir Khan and others were present. Syed was the student of Sociology Department of Karachi University and was an active worker of the PSF.

Qaim condemns killing of PPP workers: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has strongly condemned firing by unknown persons in which three workers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were killed in Orangi Town here the other day.

In a statement issued, he termed this an act of terrorism and targeted killing. The CM directed the Sindh Inspector General of Police to take appropriate and immediate measures to arrest the culprits as early as possible. He also asked him to submit a detailed report in this regard immediately. He expressed deep sorrow and grief on shahadat of party workers and prayed to Almighty Allah to give courage and fortitude to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
