PMA calls for protest against unjust fee structure


LAHORE - The PMA has announced to launch protest against unjust fee structure charged at all private medical colleges and called a meeting to establish student councils, said office-bearers of PMA on Saturday. Office-bearers including Dr Tanveer Anwar, Dr Izhar Ahmed, Dr Ihsan-ur-Rehman, Dr Yasmin Ihsan, Dr Kamran, Dr Sabahat Habib Khan and Dr Salman Kazmi said that the private medical colleges had no uniformity in the fee structures. It is to be noted that some of colleges are charging 500,000, Rs575,000 and even Rs700,000. They appealed to the Chief Minister to develop a centralized system of admissions through UHS and to decrease tuition fee to Rs150,000. All the private colleges were violating rules and regulation set by PMDC, they concluded.
