RAWALPINDI - Wasa retired employees have expressed grave concern over non-release of pension to them. Wasa Staff Workers Union (WSWU) has sent an application to DCO Rawalpindi taking the plea that 421 employees were declared regular from TMA Rawal Town when Wasa came into being. Their record and dues have not been shifted to Wasa for making payment to the retired employees. The employees union threatened to hold protest demonstrations in the event of non-payment of pension to the employees.
“We have not received even a single rupee in respect of pension dues and our families are now on the verge of starving to death. We will commit collective suicide if our pension dues are not paid till May 1, said the delegation of retired employees.
