10 outlaws nabbed in Capital

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad Police on Sunday claimed to arrest arrested 10 outlaws from various localities of the city and recovered snatched cash, cell phones, 190 cans of beer, 11 wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.According to a press note issued from office of SSP Islamabad, Sub-Inspector Athar Khan along with police team of Sabzi Mandi police station suspected movement of two persons during patrolling at Shamas Colony near Golra. Police team asked them for checking but they tried to flee. Police team chased them and managed to overpower them after encounter. They were identified as Salman Khan, and Farman who confessed their involvement in various dacoity incidents. Police also recovered snatched cash, mobile phones and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession.Inspector Muhammad Ashraf from CIA Police arrested two accused Abdul Rauf and Atiq-ur-Rehman besides recovering six snatched mobile phones and cash from their possession. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Akbar from Shehzad town police station arrested Manzar Khan for having 30 bore pistol. Station House Officer of Loi Bher police station , Inspector Abdul Sattar Shah and Sub- Inspector Ghulam Rasool arrested two accused Muhammad Zahid and Muhamamd Raiz during routine patrolling and recovered 190 cans of beer as well as nine wine bottles from their possession.Sub-Inspector Nusrat Ali from Golra  police station nabbed  Iftikhar Hussain and recovered 300 gram hashish from him.  ASIs Asghar Ali and Iqbal Muhammad from Tarnol police station apprehended Saleem and Sartaj for having pistol and two bottles.Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements.
