Corrupt politicians will be brought to book: Shehbaz

Former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that after coming to power, the PML-N would hold corrupt and dishonest politicians accountable.
Speaking to party candidates for election tickets, Shehbaz Sharif slammed the opponents of Metro Bus Service, Danish Schools and Laptop scheme.
“Why don’t these people utter a single word against those who got their loans waived off, embezzled the Bank of Punjab’s money and did corruption in steel mills,” the former CM said.
For five years, he added, corrupt rulers from the PPP looted and plundered the national exchequer.
“On the other hand, the Punjab government spent the public money on development schemes with complete transparency,” he said.
The candidates for election tickets told the CM that their support for the PML-N was unconditional, adding that the party would work together and contest elections from a single platform.
