Bilawal Bhutto invites Maradona to promote football in Pakistan

KARACHI- Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Patron-In-Chief, Pakistan Peoples Party today invited Pakistan Street Child Football team to Bilawal House and personally congratulated each player for displaying brilliant performance at Street Child Football World Cup in Brazil last week.

On the occasion he announced a surprise for the child football heroes that he has invited football legend Diego Maradona to visit Pakistan and promote football in the country. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur MNA, Jameel Soomro, Sherry Rehman, Qadir Patel, Sharmila Faruqi and others also attended the event.

Following getting invitation, the team of budding footballers drove to Bilawal House in overwhelming joy to meet Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and exchange their experience in the World Cup. Several of them have beautiful dreams to play in the national Football team and win more laurels for the country. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari greeted them individually and assured them that PPP will bring revolutionary policies to promote sports activities across the country as sports are gradually becoming sign of healthy nations. He also personally announced Rs. 100,000 for each player.

It may be recalled that Pakistani Street Child Football team won bronze in the World Cup and grabbed third position after defeating United States in Brazil. He encouraged them to continue their practice more vigorously to win the next World Cup for Pakistan adding that Sindh government should take steps and efforts to promote sports activities and provide ample chances for talented sportsmen.
