ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today announced to challenge Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO) in the Supreme Court (SC) with the consultation of all the opposition parties

Talking to journalists outside parliament house, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that all the opposition parties of the parliament protested against the bill and walked out. The government approved the bill in the absence of the opposition parties. He said they already have support of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamaat-e-Islamai (JI) to challenge the PPO in the SC. Earlier today, speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq did not allow opposition to hold debate against the ordinance. Speaker viewed that it was against the rule of parliament to debate approved matter.
