LAHORE  - The Punjab Teachers’ Union (PTU) has planned to stage a sit-in in front of the Punjab Assembly, Faisal Chowk, The Mall today (Tuesday) against government for not paying heed to the issues of the teachers.

Teachers, who has been on educational boycott since Friday last, continued their protest on Monday by not taking classes. Teachers’ leaders including PTI president Syed Sajjad Akbar Kazmi, Imtiaz Ahmed Abbasi, Rana Liaqat Ali and others said that government was continuously ignoring the teachers and the rulers’ misbehavior with teachers had created unrest among them.

They said that the government’s continues bad attitude towards teachers had forced them to come on the roads. They said that the government’s victimisation did not stop them their struggle for provision of education.
