Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has wrapped up its national training camp in Islamabad, citing paucity of funds as one of the major reasons behind the closure. PHF could not pay its players and coaches’ their daily allowances. After which Hockey India (HI) offered financial help to Pakistan, which was a good gesture, by them. President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Akhtar Rasool has made an emotional appeal to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to save the national game. I am sure that the Prime Minister will not look into this, nor will Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). By the way where is Malik Riaz? He could take some action to save the national game.
