Bagh- A large number of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters from Bagh district; have announced to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, after it rose to victory in the recently held by-election in Mirpur.

PML-N’s disgruntled supporters from Bagh headed by Sardar Tahir Akbar, met with PTI AJK President Barrister Sultan Mehmood and PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen in Islamabad, to formally announce their joining of the party.

Barrsiter Sultan while welcoming the PML-N supporters in the party fold said, like the people of Pakistan, the public in AJK also wanted change and that was why they voted the party in the recently held by-election, where a joint candidate of two big political parties was defeated with people’s vote.

He said that the people have become fed up with dynastic politics; PML-N and the PPP have failed to deliver, causing alienation of people from the political process. He alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sold out Azad Kashmir for the sake of politics, which was rejected by the people in the by-polls.

Those who joined the PTI include Babar Tahir, Chaudhry Aslam, Habib Ullah Butt, Sardar Naseem, Rashid Mugul, Asad Saleem, Azhar Rasheed Advocate and others. End/Online
