ISLAMABAD - Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), who is also Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) president, awarded cash prize to Pakistan No 1 female squash player Maria Toor Pakai for her victory in recently-concluded 2nd Bahria Town International Women Squash Championship. Tigress Maria won the battle royal against the top seed South Africa's Siyoli Walter in five hard-fought games with the score of 11-9, 11-7, 6-11, 10-12, 12-10, which was highly appreciated not only by the spectators, but also by the loser. The Air Chief appreciated the performance of Maria and other young players for bringing laurels to the country. He also appreciated the efforts of PSF's coaching staff for giving proper training and guidance to the national players. Sohail reiterated that the PSF would continue sponsoring top squash players for improving their world rankings.
