Once again the print and electronic media is overloaded with press conferences; news stories etc. involving Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital. Politicians are busy scoring points against their opponents regardless of the fact that such attempts from them can damage such institutions, which are serving a great cause for this society. Factually speaking, this is the only institution in the country that have all of its books open for public and anyone can access its books of accounts from anywhere in the world via internet. As a nation it’s our duty to safeguard our national institutions and I on that behalf request all the politicians not to involve such an institute, which is internationally acclaimed for its credibility and services to humanity. If they cannot make such inspiring institutes, they have no right to malign one.
