I recently witnessed the final of 48th National Swimming Championship held at WAPDA Sports Complex on July 20, 2008. As a veteran swimmer, I was really impressed by the performances of two promising young swimmers Sikandar Khan and Shehbaz Khan in Freestyle & Butterfly events. They have practically proved that they are better than Adil Baig who has been selected for participating in the Beijing Olympic Games. These youngsters have the ability to improve their performance if groomed properly and given an exposure to international competitions.
