Perhaps it is the absence of will, in curtailing the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi, that first police, then Rangers and now Frontier Constabulary have jumped in to save the day. The lack of will within the police can be attributed to a number of reasons such as political pressures, corruption and lack of resources. The situation in Karachi has been brewing since a long time and finally in the backdrop of recent political tensions, it has exploded. Again bringing back the violence hit image of the city, during the 90s.
