The Shawwal moon has been sighted on Thursday, Eid ul fitr will be observed in the country on Friday.
This was announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.
Simultaneously, Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees were also  at their respective headquarters for the purpose.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eid-ul-Fitr will observe on the same day with the rest of the country after Masjid Qasim Khan pursued Ruet-e-Hilal Committee's sighting of moon to start the Ramadan fasting while on the other hand, some areas of KPK celebrating Eid today.
