The violation of children’s rights has been going on for six decades, but now it has become an international concern. Our children are kidnapped and sold as camel racers in the Arab countries. A Pakistani youth, Ghulam Hussain Jakhro successfully escaped from a Dubai prison. While addressing a press conference in Thatta, he said that there were many more children from Thatta and neighboring districts, still in prison in Dubai. They were used in camel races for entertainment. According to him, they were tied to the back of the camels to race, and this was a physical and mental torture.

This is not a new story; children have been kidnapped and sold to the Saudi Arabia and UAE Arabs for at least two decades. I appeal to the government of Pakistan to take up the matter with UAE rulers and arrange for these unfortunate children to be released from prison.
