Two soldiers, 7 militants killed in Turbat clash

TURBAT - Unidentified armed men ambushed a convoy of Frontier Constabulary in Turbat district of Balochistan killing at least two security men and injuring six others on Thursday.
According to sources, militants ambushed a security convoy of FC in Nasirabad area of Turbat killing two security men on the spot. Six others were injured in the attack. The paramilitary force personnel retaliated and killed seven attackers, the sources said. The dead bodies and injured security men were transferred to District Hospital Turbat. The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation to arrest the attackers.

THREE POLICEMEN AMONG 11 INJURED IN CHAMAN BLAST


At least 11 people, including three policemen, were injured in an explosion in Chaman area on Thursday.
According to police official Mir Ahmed, a remote-controlled bomb was planted in a bicycle parked outside the residence of a government official near Chaman Jail on Mall Road which went off with a bang, injuring 11 people including three policemen and six passersby.
The blast was so powerful that it was heard far and wide. In the recent past, militants have carried out low-intensity bombings in Chaman, targeting police stations and other national installations.
Police and other law enforcement personnel cordoned off the entire area soon after the blast and shifted the injured to Chaman’s District Headquarters Hospital.
Initial report confirmed it was a remote-controlled blast and the main target was police van, security sources said. Several nearby shops and vehicles were also damaged in the blast. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

CHAMAN MAN KILLS WIFE, 3 DAUGHTERS, SELF


A mother and her three daughters became the tragic fatalities of armed domestic violence in Chaman on Wednesday evening. “A man, Haji Abdul Wali, shot dead his wife along with three of his daughters before killing himself with the same gun here in Boghra”, a levies official said.The ages of two deceased girls ranged from 4 to 6, while the third is reported to be 22. According to sources, frustrated Wali after during a domestic spat opened fire on the women killing four and wounding two more.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman.
There was no word on how the injured women were related to those killed in the outrageous occurrence.
