As many as 200 candidates had interviews for the seven posts of Qasid with the District Accounts Office Sialkot.

According to the officials concerned, 30 candidates are holding MA/MSc degrees, 100 candidates were graduates while 70 candidates are intermediate, who had applied for their appointment on above-mentioned posts.

The Masters-degree holders are cheerful to be interviewed. They said that they had become tired of their prolonged unemployment. The officials said that 200 candidates have applied unexpectedly for the seven seats of Qasid. Officials have conducted their interviews at District Accounts Office (DAO) Sialkot. Most of these candidates are using political influence to be appointed on these seats, the officials added.

CHILD RECOVERED, KIDNAPPER HELD: The Sialkot police have recovered a minor child who was kidnapped for ransom two months ago, and arrested an alleged kidnapper here on Friday.

District Police Officer Ejaz Ahmed disclosed this while addressing a press conference. He said that some five accused had kidnapped an eight years old minor child Shazab Ali, a student of class two, in front of his house in village Zahoora-Kotli Said Ameer, Sialkot tehsil.

He added that the kidnappers had demanded Rs12 million as ransom from the child’s family for his early release. Police used some scientific methods of investigations and traced out the accused.

A police teams had raided a den in village Roniyal near Swat and recovered the kidnapped child from besides arresting kidnapper Aqeel. The arrested accused confessed before the media that he along with his four other companions Sher Khan, Daud, Niyaat and Haneef had kidnapped the child for ransom. The DPO announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the raiding police party.
