NAB arrests EDO Lakki over corruption

PESHAWAR - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday arrested accused Noor Hassan the then Executive District Officer (Education) Lakki Marwat. He was arrested for his alleged involvement in corruption & corrupt practices/misuse of authority in illegal appointment of teachers & technical staff in education department District Lakki Marwat in connivance with others.
As per detail, the accused Noor Hassan performed his duties as EDO Education Lakki from 2009 to 2011. During his tenure he made illegal appointments in BPS 01 to 14 in different cadres in education department district Lakki Marwat. The accused made appointments through handpicked unlawful committee. Some appointment orders were issued prior to the advertisement of those particular posts in newspapers. Further, the most essential requirement i.e. approval of district selection committee was also not obtained in majority of appointments.
It pertinent to mention here that in Primary School Teacher (PST) (Female) 19 vacancies were available but the accused issued 79 appointment orders. The accused allegedly issued the appointment orders in piece meal during his tenure to his blue eyed for bribe in gross violation of merit/rules.
The accused person will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand to proceed further as per law.
