Nespak signs MoUs with 3 UK firms

LAHORE - The National Engineering Services Pakistan has signed MoUs with three UK-based companies - Airport Design Consult Limited, Risc Consultants Limited and Integrated Transport Planning Limited - with a view to further augment its collaboration in the UK under the umbrella of NESPAK (UK) Limited. According to the MoUs, it was also agreed to submit joint proposals for some projects which are in the pipeline after making joint ventures with these companies.
A delegation of National Engineering Services led by its MD Amjad A. Khan, conducted a business appraisal tour to London. During the meetings with UK based companies, presentations were made about Nespak capabilities in the Engineering Consultancy sector and discussions held for the possibilities of collaboration for projects in UK and other countries, which will create new job opportunities for the Pakistani Professionals. On this occasion, foreign executives expressed their keen desire to work with Pakistani consultants on joint venture mode.
The team during its schedule held various meetings with the top brass of a total of 15 major firms having expertise in Airports master planning and design, Security equipment and Metro train projects besides dignitaries including Syed Ibne Abbas, High Commissioner of Pakistan to UK and Baroness Nosheena Mobarik. An introductory session was held in the House of Lords wherein Nespak’s capabilities in various fields of Engineering were highlighted. The possibility of UK Foreign Direct Investment on projects in Pakistan also came under discussion during the visit to the offices of Watteau Holding Group, who had shown a lot of interest to work on projects in Pakistan.
During an interaction with Nespak officials, PILGRIM Group Adviser Sir David Veness, a world renowned counter-terrorism expert, gave a presentation on security related equipment required by law enforcing agencies.
Brainstorming sessions were held during a series of meetings with the representatives of top-notch UK companies. An important panel discussion session with reference to Airport Expansion Projects was held with the top executives of the British Aviation Group UK, which is a consortium of seasoned Companies dealing with the Airport Projects. These include ATKINS, Aviation Ramboll, Airports Design Consult Limited and Aviation Safe.
A reception was also hosted at the Pakistan High Commission, which was attended by Baroness Nosheena Mobarik, Lord Dixby and other dignitaries. NESPAK delegates were welcomed by Baroness Nosheena Mobarik in a befitting manner. The Pakistan High Commissioner, Deputy High Commissioner and other officials of the Embassy also assured their full support to NESPAK in extending its business operations in UK.
