LAHORE - Provincial Disaster Management Authority Director General Jawad Akram said that breakfast and meal were provided to 18,053 flood affectees staying in relief camps in six flood affected districts of the province.
In a press statement he said that breakfast and meal included chicken korma, chicken rice, chicken biryani, beef, chana rice, chicken, halva, roti and other items. He said that the quality of food is regularly checked by a committee.
He said that 37,600 tents, 147750 food hampers, 82000 mineral water bottles, 25050 mosquito nets, 17550 plastic mats have been distributed so far among the flood affectees whereas 175780 affectees have been evacuated through 279 boats. He said that the water level in rivers is receding. He said that there is high level flood in River Sindh at Taunsa and Chashma and medium level of flood at Tarbela and Kalabagh. Other rivers and nullahs are flowing normal.
FLOOD SITUATION: The PDMA issued a report regarding flow of water in all rivers and nullahs of the province.
Flow of water was 81800 cusecs at Noshera in River Kabal and there is medium flood. Flow of water was 369500 cusecs at Tarbela, 484275 cusecs at Kalabagh, 482477 cusecs at Chashma and 495361 cusecs at Taunsa in River Sindh.
Flow of water was normal in River Jhelum. Flow of water was 45900 cusecs at Mangla and 34098 cusecs at Rasool in River Jhelum. Flow of water was 67824 cusecs at Marala, 68923 cusecs at Khanki, 67476 cusecs at Qadirabad, 71660 cusecs at Chiniot, 121855 cusecs at Trimu and 124830 cusecs at Panjnand and flow of water was normal at all places in River Chenab.
Flow of water was 25150 cusecs at Jassar, 22800 cusecs at Ravi Siphon, 22500 cusecs at Shahdara, 15490 cusecs at Balloki and 16865 at Sidhnai in River Ravi. Flow of water was 23278 at Sulemanki, 31862 cusecs at Head Islam and 28800 cusecs at Mailsi Siphon in River Satluj.
