A teenager was killed and another injured when a toy bomb exploded in the Neelum Valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

According to police, Sakhawat and Akhlaq were playing outside their house when they came in contact with a toy bomb . As soon as, they picked it up, it exploded with a bang, killing Sakhawat on the spot while the other sustained critical wounds.

Akhlaq was rushed to a local hospital where doctors described his condition as critical.

The police said that series of Indian shelling from across the LoC has been witnessed in the border town over the past one week. They alleged that Indian security forces also showered toy bombs to cause maximum damage to the civilians.
