LAHORE - Plains of the country including Lahore remained in the grip of muggy weather on Friday with experts predicting the prevailing harsh conditions to persist during the next 2-3 days.

Lack of rains, winds and abundance of sunshine caused considerable increase in the mercury level with high humidity making the weather oppressive, causing people to sweat profusely throughout the day. Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 33C and 28C respectively. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded 85 per cent which decreased to 73 per cent in the evening.

According to the experts, seasonal low lies over north Baluchistan with its trough extending southeastwards. Weak monsoon currents are penetrating northeastern parts of the country.
