9 new ministers inducted in Sindh cabinet

Karachi - Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan took oath from nine newly appointed ministers here yesterday at Governor House.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was also present on the occasion. Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon conducted the oath-taking ceremony.

The newly appointed ministers included Mr Manzoor Hussain Wassan, Mir Hazar Khan Bajrani, Mr Imdad Ali Pitafi, Mr Fayyaz Butt, Mr Muhammad Ali Malkani, Mr Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Mr Muhammad Bux Mehar and Mr Ikram Ullah Khan Dharejo.

Besides, 11 new Special Assistants have also been included in the cabinet which are Ms Rehana Laghari, Mr Nadir Khawaja, Mr Darwan Chandio, Mr Abid Ali Bhiyo, Mr Taimur Talpur, Syed Qasim Naveed, Mr Umer Rehman Malik, Mr Baber Afandi, Mr Zulfiqar Baihan, Mr Shahid Thaheem and Mr Naveed Anthony.

After Sunday’s oath taking the provincial cabinet now comprises of 37 members having 18 ministers, four advisers and 15 special assistants.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah called on the Sindh governor before the oath-taking ceremony. During the meeting law and order, development projects and situation of various districts after rain was discussed in detail.

The newly inducted members of the provincial cabinet also met the governor along with the chief minister. The governor stressed upon them to serve the masses according to their oath. He said that people entrusted them for the solution of their grievances and now as they have been given a responsibility to head the departments it is their duty to resolve the difficulties being confronted by the masses specially poor and downtrodden.

He hoped that under the guidance and leadership of the chief minister the whole cabinet would do its utmost to minimise the sufferings of the masses throughout the province.
