LAHORE - Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Secretary Saqib Zafar on Tuesday inaugurated South Medical Ward of Mayo Hospital renovated by financial assistance of old students of King Edward Medical College. Known architect Nayyar Ali Dada and Attiq Ahmed provided free services of infrastructural designing. Addressing the ceremony, Saqib Zafar said that old students of KEMU have set a precedent for the young doctors to follow by providing Rs12 million for the renovation of ward. Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof Khalid Masood Gondal said that old students serving in the US, UK and other countries were determined to pay back to their educational institution.
He said that New Campus of KEMU in Muridke would be completed within two years.
Registrar KEMU Prof Irshad Hussain Qureshi, Prof Asad Aslam Khan, President friends of Mayo Hospital Fatima Afzal, Nayyar Ali Dada, Prof Shundana, Attiq Ahmed and old students attended the ceremony.
