LARKANA - A complete shutter-down strike was observed across Sindh on the call of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) and protest demonstrations were staged against the acquittal of people in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case. In Larkana, enraged PPP-SB workers set ablaze tyres on Indus Highway, causing massive traffic blockade. The workers and leaders held demonstrations and took to the streets and chanted slogans against the court verdict. All petrol pumps and bazaars including Shahi Bazaar and markets at Resham Gali, on Buner Road and on Royal Road and other business places remained closed, while a thin flow of vehicular traffic was observed in different cities. The PPP-SB workers also pelted stones on several public and private vehicle smashing window panes of offices and vehicles while inadequate security arrangements were seen during the protest. The Police personnel were deployed at various places while Market Police had registered FIRs against 45 PPP-SB workers in Larkana a day before, but there were no reports of any arrest. On the occasion, PPP-SB leaders including Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Barkat Mirjat, Abdul Sattar Channa and others said that they will never bow to before the present government and police cases but would continue their struggle till victory they said. A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Shikarpur, Jackobabad, Ghotki, Qambar Shahdadkot, Badin, Obaro, Mirpur Mathelo, Padidan, Rato Dero, Miro Khan, Wara, Naseerabad, Larkana, Moro, Kandyar, Noshehro Feroz, Bangal Dero and Tando Bago.
