MQM and ANP leadership has agreed to launch concerted efforts to establish peace in Karachi. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain assured ANP supremo Asfandayra Wali Khan on phone of all-out support in this regard and condoled with him on the sad demise of Ajmal Khattak besides killings of ANP members and other Pashtuns in the metropolis. Commending Ajmal Khattak for his principled stance, Altaf said that he was a true follower of Bacha Khan, adding that his death has deprived the nation of a sincere leader. Altaf told Wali that he has ordered the core committee of his party to reform its ties with other political parties including ANP. On the occasion, Wali observed that all the outstanding issues between the political parties be resolved through talks to foil the nefarious attempts of the anti-state elements, who wanted to disrupt peace in the country. Wali maintained that a single reconciliatory sign from the MQM would be reciprocated properly. Altaf also expressed condolence to Ajmal Khattaks son Aimal Khattak on the sad demise of his father.
