Accountability Court Karachi framed charges against Pakistans Ambassador to Iran, M.B. Abbasi, in a corruption reference here on Monday, a private TV reported. Abbasi, is accused by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of violating rules while granting loans of Rs40 million to the favorite companies during his tenure as chairman of the National Development Finance Corporation. While adjourning the courts hearing till 22 February, the judge ordered the officials of NAB to present witnesses against the accused before the the court. Amir Raza Naqvi advocate appeared in the hearing as counsel of the defendant. Two corruption references were reopened against Abbasi after the Supreme Court in a verdict cancelled the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
