PLF set to highlight issue at all fora

KARACHI Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) on Monday announced a countrywide awareness campaign among the people of Pakistan about the brutality of illegitimate regime of Israel against the people of Palestine. This was decided in the first annual convention of PLF, a voice of oppressed people of Palestine in Pakistan, held here at a local hotel to finalise the annual programmes and review the present situation of the Middle East. The participants of the convention demanded of the United States, Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) and European Union (EU) to take practical steps to resolve the decades old dispute of Palestine and Zionist brutality against innocent people of Palestine. Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Chief, Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, Muzzafar Ahmed Hashmi, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Central leader Maulana Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, JUI-F leader Aslam Ghori, PML-Q leader Tariq Syed, Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan leader Shabar Raza, JUP leader Maulana Aqeel Anjum, Majlis Wehdat Muslimeen Central leader Maulana Maqsood Domki, Osama Bin Razi, Mustafa Noorani and PLF Central Spokesmen Sabir Karbalai were addressed the convention. The members of Palestine Foundation Guardian Council and working committee from across the country were attended the convention, besides the office bearers of Peoples Students Federation (PSF), Imamia Students Organisation (ISO), Anjuman Talba-e-Islam (ATI), Pakhtoon Students Federation (PSF), Insaf Students Federation (ISF) and others attended the convention. The participants of the countrywide annual convention of the foundation have finalised the annual programmes of Palestine Foundation Pakistan including the public awareness campaign to educate the masses about the situation of The Land of Messengers - Palestine. While endorsing the popular movements in Egypt and Tunisia, Speakers of the PLF annual convention called them a sign that the region is rising up against the United States. They termed that the uprising in Tunisia and Egypt are an earthquake that is uprooting American servants among Arab leaders, reflecting diminishing American power. The participants vowed that they would continue their struggle for the rights of oppressed people of Palestine, saying, The Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque is the part of our faiths and we would not allow the Zionist regime of hatched the conspiracies against the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They said that the defence of Palestine is the defence of Pakistan, saying that America, Israel and India are hatching conspiracies against the Muslims especially against Palestine and Pakistan. The representatives of religious and political parties and student organisations appealed to the people of Pakistan to boycott the Zionist products and express their annoyance with Zionist regime and America. Members of Palestine Foundation Central Working Committee Ali Ahmar, Abbas Murtazai, Aamir Touri, Ali Muktadir, Ali Rehan and others were also present on the first annual convention.
