MIRPUR (AJK) - Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared that Pakistan will continue fighting the case of Kashmiris at each forum unless Kashmir issue was settled in line with the wishes of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Talking to reporters in Muzaffarabad on Friday, Maulana Fazl, also Chief of Jammiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), said that Kashmir was the core issue between Pakistan and India and it should be resolved as per the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. He was accompanied by AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed on the occasion.
He reiterated that Pakistan would continue full moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for the achievement of their legitimate right to self-determination. He urged the world powers to come forward and play their role in resolving the lingering issue of Kashmir.
Maulana Fazl said that hearts of Pakistanis and people of Jammu & Kashmir beat in unison. He resolved that entire Pakistani nation stood united with their Kashmiri brethren. He said that the Kashmiri Committee in the Pakistani Parliament was raising Kashmir question at all relevant forum both at home and abroad to muster maximum support for the Kashmir cause and the Kashmiris indigenous struggle for freedom and right to self-determination.
The chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee underlined that Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was today raising the voice of Kashmiris including the importance of early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue both at home and abroad. He said that people of Jammu & Kashmir enjoyed full moral, political and diplomatic support of entire Pakistani nation and the government.
Maulana Fazl extended gratitude to the entire political leadership of Pakistan for adopting unanimous stance on the Kashmir issue.
The chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee said the government was taking all possible steps to promote peace in the region as improvements of economic conditions was linked to it.
