LAHORE - Exchange of fire between two rival groups took life of a teenage passerby in Baghbanpura yesterday.

Azhar, 14, was on his way when he received a bullet wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

The deceased was resident of Hassan Town. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy. Station House Officer Sub-Inspector (SI) Ijaz Rasool said that Hamid and Naeem had an old dispute over a plot of seven to eight marla in Hassan Town. He said both men with their accomplices reached the spot to occupy the plot and opened fire at each other.

The SI said the teenage boy was on his way and suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot. Police arrested four people of both sides and were conducting raids to arrest others, he added.
