PESHAWAR - The Year 2014-15 was a glorious period for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) KP, as it recovered an amount of Rs 2500 million from corrupt mafia.

During the record year heavy weight personalities had been sent behind the bars who were involved in corruption and total 82 references were registered in Ehtisab Courts wherein 11.68 million rupees were involved in corruption.

NAB KP issued its two years 2014-15 performance report to media wherein this time period has been shown as glorious era against corrupt people.

NAB arrested 425 corrupt elements for the last 14 years, 323 references registered and Rs 1400 millions recovered out of Rs 10.58 millions of looted amount through Plea Bargaining (PB) and Voluntarily Return (VR).

On the other hand, NAB KP arrested 250 corrupt elements during 2014-15, 82 references registered and Rs 2500 millions recovered out of Rs 11.68 billion looted through PB and VR while the convicted ratio has been remained as 80 per cent during this period. Chairman NAB, Qamar Zaman Choudhry who visited all the bureaus in order to assess the performances and he paid tribute to Director General NAB KP, Shezad Salim and his entire team who are engaged with a strong devotion against corrupt mafia in province.
