MIRPUR (AJK)-The entire Pakistani nation enthusiastically observed the Kashmir Solidarity Day to express complete solidarity with the Kashmiris in their indigenous and just struggle for the achievement their right to self-determination.

The Kashmiri business community said that the people of Pakistan and AJK once again proved that from Khyber to Karachi and abroad the Kashmiris were not alone in their struggle for freedom. They enjoy moral, political and diplomatic support from the people of Pakistan till the achievement of freedom and the right to self-determination.

Markazi Anjuman Tajran President Ch Mahmood Ahmed said that observance of the Kashmir Solidarity Day across Pakistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and rest of the world on February 05 was aimed to express unflinching support to the Kashmiri brethren in their just and principle struggle for freedom.

Talking to this correspondent, Ch Mahmood said that hearts of the people of Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir beat in unison. He said, “Nevertheless, the Kashmir liberation movement is in full momentum in Jammu & Kashmir state amidst the current political situation in Pakistan. The celebration of Kashmir Solidarity Day every year creates impact on the liberation movement and instills new vigour in it.”

The Kashmiri business community leader said that Kashmir Solidarity Day was very important as the solidarity of people of Pakistan with J&K people conveyed a new message of dedication and commitment to the freedom of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from the Indian bondage - continued for over last seven decades.

He said that expression of complete solidarity has once again conveyed positive and encouraging message instilling new spirit in the Kashmir freedom movement.

He said that the people of Jammu & Kashmir, come what may, would never accept statuesque and finally India shall have to get out of Jammu & Kashmir by granting the Kashmiris their legitimate right to self-determination.

He said “It is crystal clear that destiny of Jammu & Kashmir state lies in freedom and in an end to Indian usurpation and forcible occupation of the state.”

Meanwhile, speakers paid rich and glowing tributes to veterans of Kashmir freedom struggle - Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru - on their martyrdom anniversaries.

Jammu Kashmir National Front leaders said that people of Kashmir owe a lot to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom.

Its spokesperson strongly demanded the return of the mortal remains of both Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru who were hanged in the Tihar jail, Delhi in 1984 and 2013 respectively.

The National Front spokesman said in a statement that hanging of Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru has not deterred Kashmiris for demanding their birth right. He said, “Time has proved that Kashmir has produced hundreds of Maqbools and Gurus despite Indian oppression.”

The National Front reiterated that the struggle for freedom shall continue till the dawn of freedom and the sacrifices of martyrs like Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru shall be protected at any cost, he added.
