Another two-day remand of Imran
An anti-terrorism court Wednesday extended for two days physical remand of serial killer and rapist of eight minor girls including Zainab Amin of Kasur. The police officials produced the suspect in the court of ATC Judge-I Sajjad Ahmad amid tight strict security arrangements and pleaded the court that Imran Ali was serial killer and rapist of the eight minor girls. The investigation officer told the court that Imran took Zainab, 7-year old child girl, to an under-constructed house where he raped her and killed her. He said after that he dropped her body at a dumping site—near her house, he said. The officer pleaded the court that they wanted two-day further remand of the suspect to take the case to its logical end. At this, the judge asked the IO that the accused was remanded for 14 days and what was done during this period. The IO replied that they had collected all evidence. On it, the judge remarked that the case soon should be taken to its logical end. The court accepted the plea and allowed two-day physical remand of the suspect. On Tuesday, the same court granted Imran Ali into police custody for three-day remand over charges of killing and raping seven other minor girls. Police told the court that his DNA tests matched with the swabs collected from the bodies of the victims in Kasur. –Staff Reporter
