BAHAWALPUR-Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will address a public gathering here on February 28.

Local leaders said that some unseen powers had got united to conspire against democracy and criticise the former prime minister and the elected government. Now attempts were being made to assassinate the PML-N leader, they said. Nawaz Sharif is fighting the war of righteousness and he was being punished for carrying out fastest development in the country but the People were with him, he said.

PML-N Punjab Secretary Information Ch Samiullah said that public gathering of Bahawalpur would be an historic one and it would be a slap on the faces of people working against democracy and the government.

They also reviewed the arrangements for the event.
