LAHORE - The PML-N has decided to keep Ali Dar on standby for the Senate elections in case his father, Ishaq Dar, is not allowed by the Election Commission of Pakistan to contest the elections. Party sources say Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, who is currently in London for his medical treatment, will submit nomination papers for the Senate seat before March 3. The ruling PML-N is not sure about him sailing through the scrutiny process and other requirements, the sources say. Dar is facing criminal references at home on charges of money laundering and amassing assets beyond known sources of income.
