PHF's foreign consultant starts training

LAHORE - Foreign Consultant of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Wouter Tazelaar arrived on his first official visit to Pakistan to train players of PHF hockey academies and their coaches here on Tuesday. Wouter Tazelaar will stay in Pakistan till February 19. During his 44 days stay, he will visit all the PHF hockey academies and will also conduct the coaching course for the academies coaches. Initially Wouter Tazelaar will visit the academies of Punjab with in few days. On his first day, Wouter Tazelaar gave the training to the 42 short listed players of Lahore academy at National Hockey Stadium Lahore. At this occasion Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation Muhammad Asif Bajwa, selectors of Punjab and coaches of Lahore academy was also present. While talking to the media, Wouter Tazelaar said that there is no difference between Dutch and Pakistani age group players. The same challenges are here and we will proceed gradually in academies and accelerate the coaching programme. "It is not a short term programme it will take years to produce results. The coaches should be trained first. Initially I am going to visit four academies of Punjab with in ten days and will conduct a coaching course for the coaches of academies". He concluded.
