Fazl favours early elections in country

Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman agrees with proposal of holding early elections in the country, urging the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to play its due role for fair and transparent polls.
“Fair and free elections are impossible after entry of 35 million bogus votes in Election Commission’s voter list. It should work out for error-free registration,” the JUI-F chief said while speaking to media representatives after addressing party’s General Council here in Lahore Sunday.
He said his factions supports the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party and other allies’ proposal of holding elections before the time, and added that he had also contacted PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in this regard to convince him over the decision.
