Federal Minister of Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain on Sunday said that government’s first priority is to fulfill the requirement of domestic gas consumers .Talking to a private news channel, he said that the government has given full attention to energy crisis during four years but it still needs some further drastic measures to tacklle this problem.However, he said planning of current government will certainly help tackle the problem in future.

To a question, Dr. Asim said though the problem is serious but theft of electricity and gas has aggravated the situation. The government is seriously working to solve the problem, he added.

He said “ We are re-examining very minutely of theft tactics by certain domestic and commercial consumers”. The Minister said that security of pipelines in Balochistan will be further tightened.
