LAHORE – PML-N will split into several groups if Nawaz Sharif exercises the option of resignations in a bid to dislodge the government, claims Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, senior PML-Q leader.

He expressed these views while addressing the PML-Q parliamentarians, ticket-holders and former nazimeen belonging to Faisalabad district at State Guest House on Saturday.

He maintained that Nawaz Sharif being part of the opposition lost decision-making power, as PML-N was in the habit of sitting on the treasury benches and working on the other side of the political divide.

Pervaiz claimed that the self-centered policies of the PML-N top leadership have isolated them in the political arena and the PML-N chief was making marathon rounds of different parts of the country in an effort to search political partners for his party.

The PML-Q senior leader, while saying all options should be kept open in politics, maintained that the people who don’t follow this principle become non-political entities.

He claimed that Punjab would be a financially surplus province if the sitting chief executive has not stopped the projects under vision 2020 programme. Accusing the PML-N government of corrupt practices, Pervaiz maintained that the progress of the province could not be possible as the chief minister was holding 20 ministries himself.

About the dissident ranks among the party circles, he while calling the rebels as conspirators said that such elements are always busy in serving their personal agendas instead of the interests of the party.

Prominent among party leaders from Faisalabad include Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, Afzal Sahi, Rana Asif Tauseef, Rai Hassan Kharal and Mumtaz Cheema.
