PESHAWAR - People from different walks of life, including politicians, academicians, doctors, party workers and lawyers, thronged the house of Qazi Hussain Ahmad at Rahatabad to offer condolence on his demise on Monday.
His Qul will be held today (Tuesday). A great rush was witnessed on the main University Road and Palosai Road. Special contingent of police had been deployed on the road to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Special security measures had also been taken on the occasion due to the movement of VIPs, who continued to visit the residence of Qazi Hussain Ahmad to condole his demise with his son Asif Luqman Qazi and brother Dr Attaur Rahman.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) former ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has died of cardiac arrest on Sunday. Prominent among them were JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal Rehman, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Finance Minister Humayun Khan, Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Livestock Minister Hidayatullah, Senator Abdul Haye Baloch, Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan leader Ghairat Baheer, Fata parliamentary leader in National Assembly Munir Orakzai, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leaders Asad Qaiser, Pervez Khattak and others.
Besides, leaders of JI including central deputy chief Dr Kamal, Sirajul Haq, Sindh province head Dr Mirajul Huda Siddique, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan, Asadullah Bhutto were also present on the occasion.
KPK Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti condoled the death of prominent politician and former JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad. Provincial Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain also accompanied him. Hoti expressed solidarity with his brother Dr Attique-ul- Rehman and son Asif Luqman Qazi.
He offered fateha for the deceased and prayers for patience for members and his followers.
 The CM recorded sentiments in condolence book and termed his death a national loss. Later on talking to media men, the cm said the loss of Qazi’s death was not limited to JI, rather it was the loss of all of us, and we were equally held in this grief.
He said that personality, political religious and social services of Qazi Hussain Ahmad will be remembered forever and the space created due to his death can’t be filled. He said that Maulana Mufti Mahmood, Abdul Wali Khan, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad were that bright stars of national politics that departed one by one.
He prayed for peace in heaven of the deceased and grant of courage and patience for members of the bereaved family. Qul for the departed soul of the JI leader would be offered at his residence at Rahatabad here today (Tuesday).
