Action against one-wheeling intensified: CTO

rawalpindi - The city traffic police netted 2,073 beggars from main roads during different operations in the year 2015.
The CTP also handed over 348 child beggars to Punjab Child Protection Bureau. A total of 862 cases have also been registered under 9 Vagrancy Act against the beggars, informed Chief Traffic Officer (CTO)/SSP Shoaib Khurram Janbaz yesterday.
He said that the CTP are making efforts to eliminate the begging on the roads. He said that CTP have also intensified action against those involved in one-wheeling. In this regard, special squads have been constituted which are catching the one-wheeler and issuing fine tickets, besides impounding motorcycles in police stations. He said those showing stunts on motorcycles are not only endangering their own lives but also risking the lives of other commuters.
