LAHORE - Prof Dr Riaz Uddin Monday has said that the destiny of every living organism has been preordained by Allah in the form of DNA. It is the duty of young scientists to come up with solutions to the problems facing the mankind.
He expressed these ideas while addressing the students on the 19th day of the 14th annual educational session of the Ideological Summer School being jointly run by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust at Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
Prof Dr Bilal Masood also shared his views with students. Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad also graced the occasion. This day was celebrated as the “Fun Science Day”.
Continuing his address Dr Riaz Uddin observed that up till 18th century, the world population remained below 1 billion, which has now risen to 7 billions. It means that we have to produce 7 times as much food as we had to in the past.
 Scientists have been showing remarkable performance in meeting the needs of stupendously increasing population. They are trying to find new ways of producing energy and eliminating the threat of environmental pollution,” he added.
Professor Dr Bilal Masood encouraged the students saying that small pieces of work can lead to great masterpieces. He urged them to concentrate on their aims and objectives.
Earlier, NPT Chairman Dr Majid Nizami examined the science models prepared by the children of age-group (6-13) and appreciated their work.
The 20th day of the fourteenth annual educational session is being celebrated as the “Music Day” on which well-known singers Adeel Barki, Sara Raza Khan will sing national songs and “Kalam-i-Iqbal”.
